Royals' Jarrod Dyson out at least 2 weeks with strained right oblique

Kansas City Royals right fielder Jarrod Dyson will be out at least two weeks after straining his right oblique muscle in the team's Cactus League opener against the Texas Rangers on Wednesday.

Royals manager Ned Yost said Dyson was getting an MRI on Wednesday night and that the team would know more Thursday.

Dyson played 90 games for the World Series champion Royals last season, hitting .250 with two home runs and 18 RBIs. He was expected to help fill the void in right field left by Alex Rios, whose option was not picked up this offseason.
