Ryan Nugent-Hopkins out indefinitely
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Edmonton Oilers center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, the NHL's leading rookie scorer, is out indefinitely after a left shoulder injury prevented him from playing against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night.
Coach Tom Renney didn't have a timetable for Nugent-Hopkins' return except to say he'll miss at least two or three games after getting hurt in a 4-3 win at Chicago on Monday. Nugent-Hopkins was the first player selected in the NHL draft in June and leads rookies with 13 goals, 22 assists and 35 points in 38 games.
