Jackets place Kristian Huselius on IR
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed left wing Kristian Huselius on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 6, when he suffered a lower body injury at Montreal.
The club said Huselius is listed as week to week.
The 33-year-old has 190 goals and 261 assists in 662 career games, including 58 goals and 84 assists since signing with the Blue Jackets as a free agent in 2008. He also played for Florida and Calgary.
The Blue Jackets also added center Ryan Russell to the roster on emergency recall from the Springfield Falcons, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate.
He could make his NHL debut this weekend. The Blue Jackets visit Los Angeles on Saturday.
The 23-year-old has nine goals and six assists this season with Springfield.
