Banged-up Blue Jackets recall two
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have added goaltender Allen York and defenseman David Savard to the roster on emergency recall from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.
They will nominally replace goalie Curtis Sanford and defenseman James Wisniewski, who were both injured in Sunday night's 2-1 shootout win at Calgary. The club has not disclosed the nature or severity of their injuries.
York has appeared in four games with the Blue Jackets this season, going 0-1-0 with a 3.53 goals-against average and .878 save percentage.
The 21-year-old Savard has two goals and seven assists in 26 games with the Blue Jackets this season.
