COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forwards Cam Atkinson and Maksim Mayorov to their affiliate in Springfield, Mass., for the American Hockey League playoffs.
Columbus general manager Scott Howson announced the move Sunday, a day after the Blue Jackets wrapped up their season with a 7-3 victory over the New York Islanders. Atkinson scored two goals in that game and had an assist.
