Avalanche ink Steve Downie

The Colorado Avalanche have re-signed winger Steve Downie, the team announced Friday.

A source said the two-year deal is worth $5.3 million.

Downie was traded to the Avalanche from the Tampa Bay Lightning last season for Kyle Quincey.
