NHL 13: Week 3 simulation
Welcome to Week 3 of the EA SPORTS NHL '13: 2012-2013 NHL Season Simulation. Simulations will be released on a weekly basis and will include top headlines, three stars of the week, box scores for each game, as well as standings and statistics for the league. The rosters used in the simulation will include all transactions made during the 2012 NHL free agency period.
Headlines
• The Montreal Canadiens continue their stellar play, leading the NHL with an 8-0-0 record.• The Vancouver Canucks are leading the Western Conference with a 6-2-1 record.
• The Kings' Stanley Cup hangover continues, as they sit tied at the bottom of the standings with four points.
• Rangers forward Rick Nash pots a hat trick against the Lightning on Oct. 23rd, but Tampa Bay still takes the game 4-3 in OT.
• Injury Report: Anaheim goalie Jonas Hiller will be out for 4-6 weeks with a broken ankle; Edomton forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will be out until January with an undisclosed upper body injury; and St. Louis defenseman Alex Pietrangelo will be out until mid-december with a fractured ankle.
