Jeff Carter's Second Hat Trick Of The Season
From Elias: Jeff Carter recorded his second hat trick of the season with three goals in the Blue Jackets' 6-3 win over the Sharks. Carter, who was traded to Columbus by Philadelphia last summer, is only the third player in Blue Jackets history to register two hat tricks in one season. The others were Tyler Wright in 2002-03 and Rick Nash in 2008-09. Carter also joins Evgeni Malkin, Corey Perry and Steven Stamkos as the only NHL players with two hat tricks this season.

As speculation continues to swirl around the future Columbus Blue Jackets star wing Rick Nash, there are a few new perspectives posted Monday on the topic of a possible trade.
