Neal's Hat Trick Helps Penguins Finish Off Senators
From Elias: James Neal scored three goals as the Penguins wrapped up their series against the Senators with a 6-2 victory in Game 5. It was only the fourth time in the last 16 playoff years that an NHL player recorded a hat trick in a series-clinching win by his team. The others were by Brett Hull in 2002 (Detroit at Vancouver), Johan Franzen in 2008 (Detroit at Colorado) and Patrick Kane in 2009 (Chicago vs. Vancouver). The last time the Penguins had that happen was in 1996, when Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr each scored three goals as Pittsburgh eliminated the Rangers in Game 5 of their second-round series.
