The Search For The Next SportsCenter Anchor!

Do you have what it takes to be the next SportsCenter anchor? Can you interview the losing pitcher after the seventh game of the World Series? Or write an on-the-spot breaking news story as it unravels?

If so, then read below and take one step closer to your Dream Job!


There are 3 ways to join the competition:

  • Mail in your own audition tape by August 31st. Please see below for important rules and regulations.
  • Show up to one of the open casting calls.
  • Drop off your audition tape at the ESPN Truck.

    Please print and read the Official Rules to make sure you qualify to be a contestant on Dream Job.

    ESPN's Dream Job is accepting audition tapes (VHS, 8MM, Hi-8, Digital Video and Mini DV) from June 1st through August 31st. Any submissions received after August 31st will NOT be viewed and will NOT be considered for the show.

    Submissions should TELL us and SHOW us why you should be the next SportsCenter anchor. Tapes cannot exceed 7 minutes.

    All tape submissions must be accompanied by 2 documents:

  • A contestant questionnaire
  • A signed release (Please read the release carefully and initial/sign in all of the spaces provided)

  • TAPES RECEIVED WITHOUT A COMPLETED QUESTIONAIRE AND SIGNED RELEASE WILL NOT BE VIEWED AND WILL BE DISCARDED.

    Please mail in tapes, along with the 2 required documents to:

    Producers will review all tapes and contact those applicants with whom they would like to meet and audition in person. Applicants can also just show up at any of the open casting calls taking place soon.
