The U.S. Olympic media summit is an odd gathering.
To publicize its athletes, the United States Olympic Committee brings many to a large hotel in the run-up to every Summer and Winter Games. The athletes are then sent through a car wash of interviews with many dozens of newspaper, Internet and broadcast reporters.
