Seven sports make pitch to IOC

LAUSANNE, Switzerland -- Leaders of seven sports bodies have made their pitch to the International Olympic Committee for inclusion at the 2020 Summer Games.

Bidders gave presentations to the IOC's program commission Wednesday, following visits by an Olympic delegation to their top-level events.

The newly merged baseball and softball confederation is competing with karate, roller sports, squash, sport climbing, wakeboard and wushu for one place on the 2020 slate.
