Colorado's Kolesnik to play for Kazakhstan in Turin

DENVER -- Colorado Avalanche goalie Vitaly Kolesnik was
named Wednesday to the Kazakhstan Olympic ice hockey team for the
Winter Games in Turin, Italy.

Kolesnik, 26, has a 3-3-0 record with a 2.99 goals-against
average and a .897 save percentage with the Avalanche since being
recalled from Lowell of the American Hockey League on Dec. 6.

Kolesnik will make his first appearance at the Olympic Games. He
has been a member of the Kazakhstan national team since 1999.

The Turin games will be in February.
