U.S. names Cup bobsled, skeleton teams
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- The U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation has chosen its national teams for the upcoming World Cup season.
Olympic and world champion Steven Holcomb again leads the men's bobsled team as pilot of USA-1 in both two- and four-man racing. John Napier will drive USA-2 in both disciplines.
Bree Schaaf, Jazmine Fenlator and 2010 Olympic bronze medalist Elana Meyers will drive on the women's World Cup bobsled circuit.
In skeleton, two-time Olympian Katie Uhlaender will be joined by Annie O'Shea and Kimber Gabryszak on the women's team. The men's team includes Matt Antoine, John Daly and Kyle Tress.
The federation made its announcements Saturday morning in Lake Placid, N.Y. The World Cup season starts in Austria on Dec. 2.
