Evgeniy Klimov off ski jumping team

KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia -- Nordic combined athlete Evgeniy Klimov won't do double-duty for Russia after all at the Sochi Olympics.

Klimov had been drafted into the five-man Russian ski jumping team for the large hill team event Monday due to an injury to Mikhail Maksimochkin, who broke two ribs in a training fall last week. The 20-year-old Klimov took three training jumps on Sunday but was not among the four jumpers listed on the start sheet for Monday's ski jump team final.
