USADA wants Drummond suit tossed

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said it will ask the court to dismiss a lawsuit filed by track coach Jon Drummond, calling the case "baseless."

Drummond, a former Olympic sprinter, accuses USADA and Tyson Gay in a lawsuit filed this week of defamation by suggesting he encouraged Gay to use creams with banned substances. Drummond says he tried to throw out potentially banned supplements and accused Gay of lying to investigators to gain a lighter suspension.
