Alex Meyer, Haley Anderson win

CASTAIC, Calif. -- Alex Meyer and Haley Anderson won the 5-kilometer titles Sunday on the final day of the USA Swimming Open Water National Championships at Castaic Lake.

Meyer, from Ithaca, New York, finished in 55 minutes, 34.30 seconds, edging Jordan Wilimovsky of Malibu and Joey Pedraza of Borward, Florida. Wilimovsky was second in 55:34.57, and Pedraza third in 55:35.00.
