Aussie Eamon Sullivan retires

SYDNEY -- Former freestyle world record holder and three-time Olympic medalist Eamon Sullivan says he has retired competitive swimming just weeks after pulling out of the Australian team for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games with a shoulder injury.

Sullivan, a three-time Olympian who once held the 50m and 100m freestyle world records, says his retirement was prompted by ongoing shoulder problems.
