Pat McQuaid praises biological passport
COPENHAGEN, Denmark -- The head of cycling's international body says the sport is winning the fight against doping.
UCI president Pat McQuaid says the federation's drive to crack down on performance-enhancing drugs is "paying off" and cheaters are being caught.
McQuaid cited the UCI's "biological passport" program for detecting evidence of blood doping.
He says "we are moving from a doping culture to an anti-doping culture."
