Gymnast Sandra Collantes injured in fall

GUADALAJARA, Mexico -- Peruvian gymnast Sandra Collantes has been injured in a fall from the uneven bars during the women's individual all-around competition at the Pan American Games.

Collantes was taken away from the gymnastics venue on a stretcher Wednesday. Her condition was not immediately known.

Assistant venue manager Jose Tapia says Collantes had leg, neck and back injuries. He did not offer more details.
