U.S. tops Finland 5-0 at worlds

HELSINKI -- Max Pacioretty of the Montreal Canadiens opened the scoring and the United States rolled to a 5-0 victory over defending champion Finland at the ice hockey world championships on Sunday.

Kyle Palmieri of the Anaheim Ducks added a goal in the second period, followed two minutes later by a power play goal by Justin Faulk.

Chris Butler of the Calgary Flames and Bobby Ryan closed out the scoring for the U.S team.
