Tasha Danvers retires due to injuries
LONDON -- Olympic bronze medalist Tasha Danvers has announced her retirement from track and field after failing to recover from a succession of injuries.
The Brit was third in the 400-meter hurdles at the Beijing Games in 2008.
The 34-year-old Danvers had been hoping to compete in her home Olympics in London but quit the sport before this week's announcement of Britain's preliminary squad for track.
