Games designer 'up against deadline'
Gil Hanse, the designer for the 2016 Olympic Games course, said Thursday that his design team is "right up against the deadline now" to get the layout ready for test tournaments scheduled for 2015.
Hanse, speaking on Golf Channel's "Morning Drive" program, sounded hopeful but also frustrated by delays that have plagued golf's return to the Olympic Games for the first time in 112 years.
