Conor Dwyer takes gold, silver

MINNEAPOLIS -- Olympic gold medalist Conor Dwyer won the 400-yard individual medley and finished second in the 200 freestyle Thursday night at the University of Minnesota in the six-stop Arena Grand Prix Series' short-course opener.

Dwyer, from Winnetka, Ill., won the 400 IM in 3 minutes, 40.03 seconds. Michael McBroom of The Woodlands, Texas, was second in 3:47.66. In the 200 free, Dwyer was edged by North Baltimore Aquatic Club training partner Yannick Agnel, the Frenchman who finished ...
