Armin Zoeggeler wins in Park City

PARK CITY, Utah -- Armin Zoeggeler of Italy won Saturday's World Cup men's luge race, while Chris Mazdzer of the United States added two more silver medals to his collection.

Zoeggeler finished two runs in 1 minute, 30.599 seconds. Mazdzer won a singles silver medal for the second straight week, finishing 0.240 seconds behind Zoeggeler. Wolfgang Kindl of Austria took third, another 0.084 seconds back.

Germany's Felix Loch remained atop the overall men's standings. Mazdzer is the top U.S. racer in the standings, currently fifth in the points chase.

Tucker West finished 16th for the U.S., with Taylor Morris 20th and Joe Mortensen placing 27th. Aidan Kelly did not finish his first run.

The U.S. team of Mazdzer, Kate Hansen and the doubles entry of Matt Mortensen and Preston Griffall finished second later Saturday in the team relay, trailing Germany by 0.582 seconds. Austria was third in the team relay, 0.637 seconds off the winning pace set by the Germans.
