U.S. midfielder Shannon Boxx will not play in Saturday's game against Colombia because of a right hamstring injury she suffered Wednesday in the women's soccer team's opening win against France.

She will be re-evaluated before the following game, against North Korea. Carli Lloyd will be her replacement as starter against Colombia.

"She is important to the team and the tournament is long so we don't want to jeopardize anything," U.S. coach Pia Sundhage said Friday.

If the medical staff says Boxx can't play in the tournament, she can be replaced on the roster.
