NEWCASTLE, England -- Two players for Colombia's women's team were hospitalized with injuries on Tuesday.
Midfielder Catalina Usme was carried off in first-half stoppage time at St. James Park with a right knee injury and was eventually admitted to Spire Washington Hospital.
Forward Ingrid Vidal was taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary by ambulance two hours after the match for dehydration.
Substitute Melissa Ortiz dislocated her right shoulder but did not join either of her teammates in the hospital.
Colombia was eliminated from its first Olympic tournament after losing all three matches without scoring a goal.
