Four years ago, Belarus stunned eventual men's hockey gold medalists Sweden.
Friday, Sweden avenged another potential upset at the hands of Belarus with a narrow 4-2 win.
The Swedes led 3-0 but Belarus got within a goal with 5:10 remaining. Sweden held on and scored the fourth and clinching goal with 10.4 seconds left.
"I think we got a little scared in the end," said Swedish forward Peter Forsberg, a holdover from 2002.
Belarus has only two NHL players, Sweden 19.
