The issue of relations between athletes and non-athletes is something that anyone who went to high school can relate to. The nature of those relationships may have changed over the years, but they're no less intense and complex -- as the nation learned in the Columbine High School tragedy.

What is or was it like in your high school? Who's at fault? And what can be done to prevent other violent outbreaks? What struck you about the ESPN Chilton survey results of high school students? ESPN.com wants to hear from you on all aspects of the subject and invites you to participate in a special Outside the Lines message board devoted exclusively to the topic.

Among those stimulating dialogue and moderating the room will be: Tom Farrey, Senior Writer for ESPN.com and author of the online series that runs this week; Jay Coakley, University of Colorado-Colorado Springs sociology professor and author of "Sport in Society: Issues and Controversies" (McGraw-Hill, 1998); and Dr. Ian Tofler, a USC child psychatrist and an expert in the psychiatric aspects of sports.

The Outside the Lines package will only be on the service for a week, so share your thoughts now on the topics raised in the show (Monday, 7:30 p.m. ET) and the online series. You can join the room here.
