Fly Fishing America

Fly Fishing America airs Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. (Eastern Time) on ESPN. Here's what's on tap for the next show:

Fishermen pull two Striped Bass from the once-depleted marshes of Chesapeake Bay.

Chesapeake Bay
A worn out casting arm and a bleeding left thumb can only mean one thing. Fly Fishing America host Chad Foster is at it again. Casting to, hooking-up, fighting and landing a boatload of Striped Bass, or "Rockfish" as the locals call them, is a sure bet that the body will finally wear out. Chad had to give it a rest after battling fiesty Stripers all day long in the marshes of Chesapeake Bay! If you've ever heard it said, "You should have been here yesterday!", this is what they're talking about. Cast after cast the Stripers took the fly and the reel started spinning. After years of being on the brink of disaster, the Chesapeake Bay is back and the fishing is better than ever. How do you top that? Easy. Leave the Striper-filled marsh for a couple of hours at the mid-day slack-tide and jump on the Pocomoke River to haul in a few Largemouth Bass. As usual, the folks from Maryland provided great fishing, incredible food and even an oyster-shucking lesson for the Fly Fishing America host!
