How Long Bass Fishing: I have fished with my husband for several years but my first tournament was with BASS in 2005 at Neely Henry Lake.

How Started Bass Fishing: My husband has always been one to encourage me in different areas, and this is one of them. His statement was, "Just try one tournament and if you don't like it, then you don't have to fish any more." The rest is history.

Career Dream: To be Angler of the Year.

Career Highlights: Finished 14th at Neely Henry; 4th at Old Hickory and fishing the WBT Championship at Lake Hamilton (finishing 11th there and 6th overall); also meeting Kevin VanDam at the Bass Pro Shops in Nashville.

Favorite Bass Water: Nickajack Lake, near Chattanooga, Tenn.

Big Bass: A 4.1-pound largemouth caught at Lake Guntersville on a plastic worm

Favorite Fishing Technique or Style: I started with soft plastics, but my interest has grown to buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, chatterbaits and anything else that is catching fish.

Pastime or Hobbies: I have always been a big kid — playing softball, tennis, racquetball, badminton and golf. Now most of my spare time is spent fishing.
