By Larry Johnson
Special to Page 2

Former beer delivery truck driver Michael Lewis was only the seventh man in NFL history to return a kickoff (90 yards) and a punt return (83 yards) for touchdowns in the same game. His 356 combined yards led the Saints to a 43-27 victory over the Redskins.

Meanwhile, Mike Brown continued his mastery as general manager of the sad-sack Bengals. Brown, who passed on an offseason deal for NFL passing leader Drew Bledsoe, has three quarterbacks with a combined QB rating of 48. The Bengals lost 34-7 to the Steelers, making them 0-6 for the fifth time since 1991.
