Baseball's free agency market is officially open. Teams are deciding who they should target. And a new trend among major league GMs is relying on statistics, like OPS (a combination of on-base percentage and slugging percentage) in evaluating players.

But are they missing something? We've come up with a few new stats GMs should be aware of this shopping season.
