Bud Selig
Bud Selig continues his role as baseball's Mr. Cheerful.
What the heck was Bud Selig thinking when he said six to eight baseball teams might need to be eliminated?

A. If those six to eight teams all come from the NL, his Milwaukee Brewers might have an outside chance to make the playoffs.

B. He was jealous of all the bad press the Players' Union was getting over its threat to strike before the playoffs this year.

C. He figures if he lumps another half-dozen teams in there, people might not notice that he was killing off the first-place Twins.

D. He heard how popular David Blaine had become by ripping out hearts.

E. He's putting into practice the principals he learned in the last book he read: "Management Strategies for Successful Organizations," by Kenneth Lay.

F. "As long as one of those teams is the Yankees, everybody will get behind me."
