What was CNN thinking?
Page 2 staff

As usual, a lot of strange stuff is happening in the world of sports -- and in the real world, for that matter. So, Page 2 is here once again to try to make sense of all the weirdness with another edition of "What the Heck Are They Thinking?"

Ted Turner
Connecting with his peeps was always the mission of CNN founder Ted Turner.
We've tried to figure out what some prominent folks might be thinking -- if anything -- and the best we could do was come up with multiple possibilities, all equally plausible. So, as always, we are asking for your help. Check out the options for each questionable act or quote, and vote in the poll to move on to yet another strange story.

What the heck was CNN Headline News general manager Rolando Santos thinking when he said he's looking to mix "the lingo of our people" -- with words like "whack" and "ill'' -- into newscasts to attract young people?

A. "Is James Earl Jones available to loop 'This is CNN, bee-yatch!'?"

B. "Tonight, our top story: Is George W. Bush the dopest president ever?"

C. "I have my finger on the pulse of 1985's youth."

D. "C to the izzo, NN to the izzay."

E. "I don't care what Fox News thinks about our decision. Bill O'Reilly is just a playa hata."

F. "By 'our people,' I'm of course referring to the aging Baby Boomers hopelessly trying to connect with their children."
