Latrell Sprewell
Latrell Sprewell claims it was a "yachting injury" ... hey, coming up with an airtight alibi takes time.
What the heck was Latrell Sprewell thinking when he failed to notify the Knicks that he had broken his hand (allegedly by tripping and falling on his new yacht) until a couple of weeks after the fact, when he was supposed to report to training camp?

A. "You don't believe me? Just ask Jeff Kent -- he was on the yacht with me."

B. "I should still fit into our offense. Everyone seems like they're playing one-handed anyway."

C. "It wasn't my yachting hand, so I didn't see why it's any of their business in the first place."

D. "OK, I probably should've called earlier, but it's not like they're gonna fine me $250k or anything."

E. "It was only supposed to be a three-hour tour."

F. "I didn't hurt it choking someone. What's the big deal?"
