Michael Andretti's wife has twins
INDIANAPOLIS -- Race car team owner Michael Andretti's wife has given birth to twins.
Jodi Andretti gave birth to son Mario and daughter Miati "Mia" in Indianapolis on Thursday morning. The twins are the first children for the couple.
His youngest son is obviously named after grandfather, Mario Andretti, who ranks second on the open-wheel all-time wins list with 52 victories. Mario Andretti won the 1969 Indianapolis 500.
The 51-year-old Michael Andretti has three other children from his previous marriages. Oldest son Marco drives for him at Andretti Autosport. He has a daughter, Marissa, and his youngest son, Lucca, is 14.
Andretti won 42 races and the 1991 championship in Champ Car. He also scored 98 podium finishes.
