BRISTOL, Tenn. -- The car chief for T.J. Bell's Nationwide Series team returned to the track, according to SceneDaily.com, after being taken to a hospital for injuries suffered on pit road.
Cory Howe was making adjustments underneath the Chevrolet when Bell accidentally backed over him. He was airlifted to Wellmont Health System in Kingsport where he was listed in good condition.
Howe was back at the track Friday afternoon after undergoing treatment for minor injuries.
"I'm missing a few chunks of skin and am bruised up, but other than that, I'm good," Howe told Scenedaily.com.
Teams work on pit road and behind their haulers at Bristol because there are no garage stalls. The Nationwide teams are on one side of the tiny infield, and the Sprint Cup teams are on the other.
Bell failed to qualify for both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup races at Bristol.
