CHICAGO -- Clint Bowyer will have a new spotter when the Chase begins Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway.

Brett Griffin will replace Michael Waltrip Racing general manager Ty Norris, who is stepping aside to focus on the organization, which has two of its three teams in the Chase.

Martin Truex Jr. also represents MWR in the 10-race playoffs.

Griffin also is the spotter for Nationwide Series point leader Elliott Sadler, and was Jeff Burton's spotter in the Sprint Cup Series until this past weekend at Richmond.
