Jason Anderson gets Supercross win after Ryan Dungey penalty

DETROIT -- Jason Anderson was awarded his second career Monster Energy AMA Supercross victory on Saturday when Ryan Dungey was penalized two positions for an on-track infraction.

Race officials ruled Dungey did not adhere to a red cross flag for a downed rider on Lap 7 of the 450SX Class final at Ford Field. The series leader went on to take the checkered flag, but Anderson picked up his first win since the season-opening race in January in Anaheim, California.

Marvin Musquin, Dungey's Red Bull KTM teammate, got second for his fourth straight podium finish. Dungey dropped to third, which extended his record podium streak to 27 races.

In the Eastern Regional 250SX Class, Honda's Malcolm Stewart became the fourth winner in as many races. He earned his second career victory.
