Clemson has committments from Top 150
junior college defensive back Brian Staley of Aiken, SC/Georgia
Military, Ga., and linebacker Nick Watkins of New Orleans-Karr,
La. Staley also considered Florida, Nebraska and South Carolina. The Tigers
recently gained running back Brandon Nolen of Old Bridge, NJ.,
over Indiana, Purdue, Rutgers, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Top 150 offensive lineman John Sullivan of Greenwich, Conn.,
denies reports of making a commitment to Notre Dame over Boston College. He
enjoyed his visit to South Bend, has the Irish leading and expects to
announce his decision within a few days. Defensive lineman/linebacker Dwight Stephenson Jr. of Boca
Raton, Fla., has not personally confirmed a decommitment from Florida to the
Irish. Many sources have claimed both prospects are headed for the Irish.
The early football signing period for mid-year qualifiers was Dec. 18-Jan

Texas Tech has pledged offensive
