Badgers, Cyclones and Red Storm nab commits

Zach Morley, a Class 2003 forward from Maryville, Mo/Indian Hills CC, Ia., has signed with the Wisconsin Badgers over Minnesota. Utah and New Mexico were also involved.

Class 2003 forward Reggie George of Palos Heights-Shepard, Ill/Fitchburg-Notre Dame Prep, Mass., recommitted to Iowa State. He also considered TCU and Mississippi State.

Tyler Jones, a Class 2003 forward from Cleveland-Heritage Christian, Tex., is headed to St. John's. He also drew interest from Oregon State, Oklahoma State and Indiana.

Class 2003 center Darius Manciel of Detroit, Mich/Weatherford CC, Tex/Arkansas-Fort Smith CC, signed with McNeese State. He originally picked TCU as a prep.

Oregon State has signed Class 2003 forward Kenny Hooks of Moss Point, Miss., who averaged 25 points as a senior.

Filiberto Rivera, a Class 2003 guard from Southeastern CC, Ia., signed with UTEP.

Class 2003 guard Javier Mendiburu of Indian Hills CC, Ia., signed with Wisconsin-Green Bay.

North Texas signed Class 2003 guard Marqus Mitchell of Baton Rouge, La/State Fair CC, Mo.

LeBron James scored 27 points in leading the East over the West, 122-107, in the 26th annual McDonald's All-American high school basketball game in Cleveland, Ohio. McDonald's All-American Game stories/Rosters for 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000.

Over 845 Class 2003 prospects have made commitments or signed scholarship papers. Signings and commitments by conferences. The early period ran Nov. 13-20 and the late period is Apr. 16-May 15.

Arizona, Duke, Maryland, Illinois and Kansas lead the Early 2003 Top Classes.

Remaining uncommitted Top 100 Prospects (6): C-Darryl Watkins; F-Linas Kleiza; G/F-LeBron James (probable NBA); C-James Lang (Decommitted Louisville/possible NBA). F-Mohamed Abukar (Released by Georgia): C-Shagari Alleyne (Decommited Rutgers).
