Top 150 running back/defensive back Andrew Johnson, a Class 2004 prospect from Pittsburgh-North Hills, Pa., is expected to decide on Tuesday (July 22) between Ohio State and Pittsburgh. Among other offers are Iowa, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech and UCLA.
Ending a recruiting saga, touted defensive back Chijioke Onyenegecha of San Francisco CC., has won a second NCAA appeal and will be able to transfer to Oklahoma and play this upcoming season. Onyenegecha originally signed with Arizona State, but reversed his decision when the coach that recruited him left the school. The appeal committee originally ruled three months ago that he would not be able to play for the Sooners right away. He still needs to complete summer credits to play this fall, but could also enroll in January. He has two seasons remaining.
