Pittsburgh, St. John's score pledges

Promising guard Ronald Ramon of Bronx-All Hallows, NY., has committed to Pittsburgh over Providence and Rutgers. Ramon averaged 19.2 points and was named second-team All-New York City as a junior.

Top junior college forward Rodney Epperson of Flushing, NY/Maine Central Institute/Barton CC, Kan/Midland CC, Tex., pledged to St. John's. Among others showing interest were Oklahoma, Colorado, Cincinnati, Louisville, Oregon and Auburn.

Eighty-two prospects on the early Class 2004 Top 100 have already made commitments. List of remaining Top 100 Prospects.

Texas, Indiana and Louisville lead the early 2004 Top Classes. Florida State led the 2003 Top Classes.

Gonzaga has a commitment from Class 2005 center Mamery Diallo of Midland CC, Tex.

Vermont pledged forward Ryan Schneider of Shrub Oak-Lakeland, NY., over interest from New Hampshire, Colgate and Canisius.

New Orleans pledged guard Kris Clark of Laurinburg Institute, NC.

Guard Lamar Farr of Beloit, Wis/Northwest College, Wyo., chose Montana.

Forward Gyno Pomare of Oceanside-El Camino, Cal; and guard Michael Kirkpatrick of Dexheim, Germany/College of Eastern Utah, Utah, committed to the University of San Diego.
