Livingston decides on Duke
By Bill Hodge
In one of the major recruiting triumphs of Class 2004, Top 100 prospect Shaun Livingston of Peoria-Central, Ill., has chosen Duke and coach Mike Krzyzewski. Considered the nation's top point guard, Livingston picked the Blue Devils over Illinois and Arizona.
"I feel Coach K and Duke are the best fit for me," said Livingston. "It's the best decision I could make for me and my life both in and beyond basketball. I think he can teach me the things that will help in the NBA preparation. The style Duke runs is something that I've really looked at and I think that it will get me ready the fastest. The Big Ten is more physical and slowed down so I felt that I needed to go to a school where I could flourish in my game."
