Top JUCO offensive lineman selects Vols

Tennessee has a commitment from one of the nation's top junior college offensive linemen in 345-pound Albert Toeaina of Pittsburg, Cal/City College of San Francisco, over Oregon, LSU, Oklahoma and Southern California. He signed with the Ducks in Class 2002.

Top 150 running back Dwayne Jones of Lakewood, NJ., is headed to Rutgers over Boston College, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Virginia and Nebraska, among others.

Defensive lineman Lawrence Miles of LaQuinta, Cal., has committed to the USC Trojans over Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington and Washington State, among others. The Trojans recently gained linebacker Ryan Powdrell of Mission Viejo, Cal/Saddleback CC, Cal., over Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington and BYU, among many others.

Georgia pledged powerful running back Brannan Sutherland of Norcross-Greater Atlanta Christian, Ga., over Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and North Carolina, among others.

Michigan State added defensive back Ron Stoops Jr of Youngstown-Cardinal Mooney, Ohio, over Indiana and Cincinnati, among others. His father, Ron Stoops Sr, is the brother of Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops and Sooner defensive coordinator Mike Stoops.

Kentucky pledged defensive back/linebacker Wesley Woodyard of LaGrange, Ga.

Georgia Tech pledged defensive lineman Elris Anyaibe of DeSoto, Tex., over Arkansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State and Purdue. The Yellow Jackets recently gained defensive back Jamal Lewis of Jonesboro, Ga., over offers from Wake Forest, UConn and Duke.

The Arizona Wildcats have a commitment from defensive back Michael Klyce of Los Angeles-Locke, Cal.
