Petty says drivers have to watch it

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Kyle Petty believes NASCAR needs to loosen up a little and remember where it came from.

Petty had a clear message Thursday during the annual media day event at Daytona: The homogenization of the sport is a bad thing.

"You can have a little personality, but you can't have a lot of personality," Petty said. "You're always trying to temper what you say or what you do or how you act or where you go."
