You can't overstate the importance of a great start to the NASCAR season. Just ask Jimmie Johnson. Considered by many (unfairly) to be a slow starter, the four-time defending champ has won two of the season's first three races and, if not for the infamous Daytona 500 pothole, might very well be batting 1.000 for the year.
