Harvick barely takes checkered at drama-filled Daytona

Kevin Harvick edged Mark Martin by less than a second to earn his first Daytona 500 victory in a wild finish while cars were crashing behind them on the frontstretch, writes Terry Blount.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Kevin Harvick survived 48 laps of a demolition derby at the end of the Daytona 500. He also ruined the fairy tale ending.
