FOXBORO, Mass. -- The New England Revolution on Monday signed Spanish
striker Jose Luis Morales, a product of famed Spanish club Real
Madrid's youth system.
Morales, 26, played with UD Salamanca in the Second Division of the
Spanish League during the 1999-2000 season. He has 51 career goals
and is known for having a strong shot and an ability to cause
turnovers.
Morales, who debuted with Real Madrid in 1995, had been on trial with the Revolution for a week. He will fill the club's fourth and final foreign slot.
He is expected to be in uniform July 15 when the Revolution
face the New York-New Jersey MetroStars at Foxboro Stadium. | |
